Had to uninstall samba and install samba4. Searching around the Google indicates that mounting samba shares is the way around these issues. The time now is 01:20 PM. Check This Out The kern.log shows these messages: CIFS VFS: Error connecting to socket.

If it is not in the man pages or the how-to's this is the place! Not sure why that works, but it doesn't matter. I haven't changed any configuration, only the wiring. However, I'm also unsure if it may be worth scrapping the fstab route and using the command pasted in this post as a startup script, but I've never done a startup
