I've been stuck by that problem for some time... After setting it to true, it works just fine. Upon logging into KDE and did 'ps -ef | grep Xorg' , I found "-nolisten tcp" arg. I don't want to see any xterms or menus when I start, and I need to listen for TCP connections from my SSH app.
