I would think that the home group would have taken care about this but I guess it doesn't or failed to do so. If that also fails, you need to look at some program that runs as this user with the issue that does not run as the other user. Much much faster than Vista and all XP softwares such as Tortoise SVN, VM Player, DB Visualizer … could run without any problems. My original problem of not having the NAS drives connected was resolved by running a script at logon time which contained "Net Use /d" followed by all of the necessary "Net I have restored my system to two earlier dates, still that same problem. I've tried this solution along with the .reg notepad solution but neither worked. I am sure it is the Comcast Technicolor TC8305C router/modem combo.
I have seen this be a problem in windows 7. We had a policy that deleted all network drives because of the mess that was all over our network. This can be beneficial to other community members reading the thread. I launch Access 2000 program, prompts for database password, and it simply hangs with no error message.
When I went onto win10 this still worked on the old PC I had migrated. This has caused many problems with access mapped drives. Really frustrating, I have been trying to solve for a month+ but still couldnt find a solution.. Under "windows credentials" and Generic Credentials" Thank You for your help.
